SPECIMEN13 – Echosystem

Specimen 13 blends progressive rock with video technology and comic book illustration.

The Echosystem EP is the fruit of years of labor and collaboration on an international scale. At the heart of this endeavor are Denis Rodier, comic book artist, author and musician and Martin Vanier, guitar virtuoso. They have joined forces with some of rock’s most prolific and notable living legends…..Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, John Lennon) on the Chapman Stick…Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, Mr.Mister, XTC, Rembrandts) on drums… Trey Gunn (King Crimson, John Paul Jones, David Sylvian/Robert Fripp) on Warr guitar and Markus Reuter (The Crimson Project, Stick Men, Tuner) on the U8 Touch guitar and many more. Le groupe Specimen13 met en symbiose le rock progressif, la vidéo et la bande dessinée.

Comme carte de visite le groupe lance Echosystem, premier bloc du volet musical du projet. Avec, à la base un duo comprenant l’auteur de BD et musicien, Denis Rodier et le guitariste émérite Martin Vanier, Specimen13 est rejoint dans son aventure par de grosses pointures du rock avec entre autres, la présence au Chapman Stick de Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Pink Floyd,John Lennon, etc.), à la batterie : Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, Mr. Mister, XTC, Rembrants), au Warr guitar : Trey Gunn (King Crimson, John Paul Jones, David Sylvian / Robert Fripp), et au U8 Touch guitar : Markus Reuter (The Crimson ProjeKct, Stick Men et Tuner) ainsi que plusieurs autres.
